The hotel was a good choice for a stay near the Galleria. Free hot breakfast, security parking, grounds well kept and staff pleasant. Rooms were large and clean. Only complaint was $* charge for parking, Seems like the Travelocity site suggested free parking, so just read carefully. There are several similar places to stay in a 5 block radius, so choose accordingly.

The price was good. The staff was friendly. However, I could not help but to feel cheated. These "suites" are not what you get some where like the Homewood suites where there are two separate rooms (TV room and bed room) these suites were one big room with bookshelves in between. Not good when you want to put two kids to sleep and enjoy some time. The pool was great during the day. At night forget it, its pitch dark I relayed my concerns to the front t desk who adviced me the lights were not working apparently due to some glitch in the remodeling process (they are in middle of extensive renovation). One more thing, the parking garage has a card reader which allows you to access the premises, it?s in the back of the property through a narrow alley, when my wife made the turn into the card reader, she took the turn INTO the card reader. My wife?s fault totally but just something to watch out for, she claims that card reader came out of nowhere and hit her.

Overall this was a great hotel. In our room we especially appreciated the shower, bed, pillows and revolving tv. The shower was amazing with great pressure. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We almost did not want to get out of bed in the morning. The room was spacious and laid out very well allowing plenty of room for furniture not often seen a hotel room. The mirror in the closet with a plug next to it made it so efficient to put makeup on and do hair while others used the bathroom. The price was even better. Out of all the hotel chains we have stayed at this was far one of the better rooms. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Houston.

I booked through the travel website on one of the "good buy" options. The two rooms I reserved were not what I had paid for. I had paid for two rooms with King beds. This wasn't a request. It was my booking. I received 0 rooms with king beds and when I tried to work this out with staff it was a joke. They were VERY rude. I had no luck with the travel website guarantee either. Rethinking this whole process.

04/09/2008Rooms are beautiful--tastefully decorated, bright, comfortable, well laid-out. complimentary breakfast is comprehensive. manager's receptions during the week have good appetizers and wine and beer. really comfortable here.
